What would you do if you were told that you never have to level anything ever again? Okay, maybe not that fast. But what if I told you that you could level structures from the top? PGT Global was created to bring new and innovative solutions to the building and home improvement market.
That is where this device comes in, and ties in with his new idea. Rey Laferriere, founder of PGT Global INC, had a different idea after working for 30 years with heavy machinery. This included levelling large machines to a fine degree in order to provide quality printing. The new idea was to produce a system that would completely change the way that structures, such as indoor/outdoor decks and platforms, are leveled.
Rey’s goal with this new device is to enable anyone to level their structure from the top, which eliminates the need to crawl underneath the deck, lie on the ground, or deal with the bug and web mess forever!
Despite the complications of 2020, PGT Global Inc has completed getting the patent registered, and has gained market traction for his product. Rey is committed to continue to prove that his product works well, and he is committed to forge ahead and promote his product. Rey is also committed to work with local Manitoba companies to strengthen the Manitoba innovation economy and maintain the focus of Canadian Made products!
Rey is a member of North Forge East. North Forge East is an innovation based, non-profit, regional business incubator located in Eastern Manitoba. Rey quotes, “I’ve been working with Shane Li since becoming a member of North Forge East in early February 2020. He’s been very supportive and helpful. He’s set up online meetings with resident entrepreneurs to help me understand the various steps involved in getting my products to market. I have had one-on-one conversations with Shane to break down the numbers of what we need to sell, along with strategies to achieve the sales.
